Trial Swim F.A.Q.'S
What is a trial swim? A trial swim is an opportunity for you to learn about the team and see if the team would be a good fit for you and if you will be a good fit for the team.
What do I need for my trial swim? All you need is your swim suit, a swim cap, a pair of goggles and a towel.
How much does a trial swim cost? Nothing, the trial swim is free, so there is no cost to you.
How long is the workout? Each workout is 90 minutes in length, except for the sunday workout, which is decidated to stroke improvement and is two hours in length.
How much can I expect to swim on a typical workout? You should expect to swim between 2,000 and 4,500 meters depending on your skill level and swimming background.
How is the workout run? Each swim workout is divided into four sections - warm-up, pre-set, main-set and cool down. If a dry-land session is involve, this will consist of 30 minutes of core work combine with stretching.
How are the lanes set-up? Each work out is divided into three different groups, according to each swimmer's ability and goals. Each swimmer will be assigned to a lane by the coach according to their skill set.
What do i need to do to schedule a trial swim? Fill out the online trial swim registration and bring your reciept to any scheduled workout. Baruch College is located at 55 Lexington Avenue New York, NY 10010. Once on the pool deck ask the lifeguard for the Bearcat Masters.
